Our church has had a rich history of ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Greater Attleboro area. Having begun in 1972 under a different name, it has labored under varied pastoral leaderships until the present.
At the direction of the Lord and with the consent of the people, I became it's pastor in May of 1993. And in May of 1998, the church was reorganized as Word of Truth Baptist Church with it's current Covenant and Statement of Faith.
It has truly been my privilege to be it's pastor for these many years, now, and my wife, Virginia and I look forward to future years with great anticipation to see what the Lord can and will do through his people.
We place great emphasis on the King James Bible, the family and personal responsibility. We are very skeptical of modern methods as they have typically shown to be rooted in worldly or skewed philosophies derived from doctrinal error. Therefore, we maintain a traditional approach to ministry, separation and music.
In light of the Laodicean age, where the churches are rich in methodologies and fleshly motivations, but severly lacking in the power of God and the unction of the Holy Ghost, we endeavor to keep our eyes and hearts fixed upon Him, the only one who is capable of bringing true repentance to the hearts of losts souls. We recognize that salvation is truly the work of God wrought for a lost sinner who comes to Christ with a repentant heart.
