What Our Services Are About..

At Word of Truth Baptist Church in Attleboro, we encourage the family to worship and serve together. Our services are not aged-segregated; see our FAQ's page for more information.

Our Service Schedule

clock
The following is our regular weekly service schedule. Any interruptions in the schedule will be announced.

Prayer Meeting-Sunday 10:00 am

Our Prayer Meeting Service brings our church body together for a much needed focus on prayer. Starting with worship in song, we then have a brief exhortation and a time to hear from one of our missionaries in letter, but overall the emphasis is on prayer time.

Preaching & Praise-Sunday 11:00 am

Our Preaching & Praise Service starts with congregational singing of old-fashioned hymns and spiritual songs in preparation for sound conviction-filled Bible preaching.

School of the Scriptures-Sunday 6:00 pm

Our School of the Scriptures Service is a non-age segregated teaching time where the focus is on verse by verse exposition of the scriptures.

* Note: The first Sunday of every month the church has a fellowship lunch on the grounds following the morning services, so there will be no evening service.

School of Biblical Studies-Wednesday 7:00pm

Our mid-week service is a time for our church body to once again gather for fellowship, worship in song and sound Bible teaching in a topical or expository format.

Special Services

At the Word of Truth Baptist Church in Attleboro our special services are those that are not on a fixed repeating schedule. They will be announced in the church bulletin, as they occur, and on the churches Facebook page. As we stress the importance of assembling ourselves together for the sake of exhorting and encouraging one another, we try not to over burden everyone's schedules with too many meetings, but we do expect those who keep company with us to view service attendance as part of their service to others and holding fast their profession of faith.

Church Fellowships

The first Sunday of every month, our congregation meets together after the Sunday morning service for a meal and fellowship. This allows our people to fellowship with friends and family, and to meet those they do not know.

We encourage folks to fellowship outside of the church schedule.
(Prov 18:24, Rom 12:13, Acts 20:7)

Prayer Meetings

Our Men's & Women's prayer meetings are held at various times and in different places. The times and places will be announced in the bulletin or on the churches Facebook page. (Col 4:2; 1 Tim 2:8, Acts 12:5)

Bible Conferences

Occasionally, we will have a special preacher come in for an extended meeting, lasting anywhere from 1 to 7 days. We encourage all that keep company with us to set aside this time in their schedules.

Cry Room

The cry room at the back of the sanctuary is provided for parents with young children that are being trained to be able to sit still in the sanctuary and for parents with babies if there is no nursery scheduled. (It is not a play room.) Nursing moms should use the nursery downstairs for diaper changing or nursing. We attempt to be as tolerant of young children as possible during our services, however, if their behavior becomes to distracting from the preaching or teaching parents may be asked to take their children into the cry room. It is not our purpose to offend, but we also cannot allow misbehaved children to be an offense to those who came to hear the preaching and teaching of the word of God.

It may also be used by adults or children with adult supervision who are dealing with the effects of an illness that might be a continued disturbance in the sanctuary.

The cry room is not for those who come in late; please find a seat in the sanctuary.

Nursery

A nursery for children under 4 years old is typically provided during regularly scheduled services. Our nursery is staffed by at least one adult woman with a beeper system. The beeper system allows the nursery worker to contact the Nursery Administrator in the event that additional help is needed or to request the presence of a child's mother.
